This is an Akebi basket from Aomori, carefully woven one by one.
The fine mesh kodashi weave requires a tremendous amount of effort, as the weaver uses tools to adjust each stitch as they go.
Even for the same artisan, the atmosphere of the Akebi basket changes depending on how tightly the vines are woven, making it a very profound basket.
The finishing of the basket's rim is also meticulously woven.
The fine mesh kodashi weave, famous for Nakagawara's baskets, allows your favorite patterned azuma bags and inner bags to stand out, so you can enjoy changing them with the seasons.
This Akebi basket is made by skilled artisans at Miyamoto Kogei.
